Guardian Hearts (がぁーでぃあんHearts) is a romantic comedy manga, created by Sae Amatsu, which was released in 2001. It belongs to the "harem" type of manga where one boy is romantically pursued by several girls. What is unusual for this series is that each girl has a different origin and motivation, as opposed to all being of the same or similar type.

An OVA series was released in 2003, with three sets of episodes. Two years later, a new OVA series was released, named "Guardian Hearts - Power Up". The first series was mainly comedic; the second series was violent and more serious but also had elements of comedy.

Happiness! (はぴねす!, Hapinesu!) is a Japanese adult visual novel originally for the PC first released on October 21, 2005, and followed by the release of a fan-disk sequel Happiness! Re:Lucks on July 28, 2006. Both games were developed, produced, and published by Windmill. Later, a manga illustrated by Rino Fujii based on the games was created and first serialized in the first issue of the manga magazine Monthly Comic Alive on June 27, 2006. A light novel was first published by Harvest in April 2006, and so far three volumes have been released. An anime based on the game aired in Japan between October and December 2006, containing twelve episodes. Happiness! was also ported to the PlayStation 2 by Marvelous Interactive as Happiness! De:Luxe on January 25, 2007 with the adult content removed; a special OVA episode of the Happiness! anime was released with the limited edition of this game.

UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie (円盤皇女ワるきゅーレ, Yūfō Purinsesu Warukyūre), aka UFO Princess Valkyrie, is an anime series based on the manga of the same name, which has run for at eleven volumes, and still seems to be continuing. It was created by the manga group Kaishaku, who are also known for creating Steel Angel Kurumi.

It follows the story of Kazuto Tokino and the alien Princess, Valkyrie, who gives half her soul to Kazuto to save him after accidentally crashing her spaceship into Kazuto's family owned public bathhouse and nearly killing him. The splitting up of her soul turned her into a child, but whenever she kisses Kazuto, Valkyrie would returns to adult for a limited duration, along with the return of her special powers.

UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie was directed by Shigeru Ueda for Media Factory Inc. and initially ran for 12 episodes. Since then there has been a two episode OVA, a 12 episode Season 2, a six episode Season 3, and a two episode Season 4. English translation and production of UFO Ultramaiden is by ADV Films. In 2008, UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie became one of over 30 ADV titles whose North American rights were transferred to Funimation Entertainment.

Cutie Honey (キューティーハニー, Kyūtī Hanī, also spelled Cutey Honey) is a Japanese media franchise created by Go Nagai. Cutie Honey first appears on volume 41 of the 1973 edition of Shōnen Champion. According to Nagai, she is the first female to be the protagonist of a shōnen manga series.

The franchise spans many works, including numerous manga series, two animated TV series, two OVA series, two drama CDs, and two live action adaptations. The first anime, aired in 1973, is considered a magical girl series in retrospect. The animated and live-action versions share a common theme song, which has been covered many times by different performers. While Honey's exact appearance differs among the various versions, they all portray her as an outwardly ordinary girl named Honey Kisaragi, who can transform into the busty, red or pink-haired heroine Cutie Honey and other specialized forms to fight against assorted villains who threaten her or her world. One of the trademarks of the character is that all of these transformations involve the temporary loss of all her clothing in the brief interim from changing from one form to the other.

Nagai's inspiration for the character of Honey comes from classic shows that featured protagonists who took seven different forms, including the Bannai Tarao mysteries and Rainbowman (1972). Honey is notable for being mischievous for a Japanese female hero, often teasing her male friends and mocking her enemies in combat. When transforming into Cutie Honey in the anime, she gives a brief rundown of the forms she has previously taken in that particular episode, and then declares, "But my true identity is ..." before yelling "Honey Flash!" and transforming.

Dream Hunter Rem (ドリームハンター麗夢, Dorīmu Hantā Remu) is an anime OVA series released from 1985 to 1992. Rem Ayanokōji is a "dream hunter," a person capable of entering the dreams of sleeping people and fighting the demons causing nightmares. The stories have their base in supernatural and standard horror, with action scenes and mystery thrown in. The first episode was originally released as a hentai OVA which contained a few pornographic scenes. Due to high popularity, the production team decided to release subsequent videos in the non-hentai anime market. The first video was later re-released as "Special Version", removing all pornographic scenes and adding a new episode.
